About Benjamin Willen, MD
Benjamin Willen, MD, approaches his work as a radiation oncologist as an educator. He discusses all aspects of a patient’s disease to make decisions together and choose individualized treatment to meet specific care needs and goals. This may include treatment planning and visits, side-effect management and long-term monitoring. Dr. Willen encourages patients to involve family and friends early on and to bring them to clinic visits.
Dr. Willen earned a bachelor’s degree in cell and molecular biology from the University of Michigan and his medical degree from the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University in Ohio. He performed an oncology residency at Beaumont Health in Michigan and is certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology.
