As Mountain Region President, Andrew leads the 20 hospitals, 260 clinics, and 16,000 employees who provide care to the communities across Colorado, Kansas and Utah.

Andrew, who has always demonstrated a deep commitment to our patients, employees and communities, has faithfully served CommonSpirit Health for 22 years. He previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, overseeing key aspects of the integration into CommonSpirit. Prior to that, he spent three years as CFO, leading the Region through the pandemic, followed by one of the worst inflationary periods in recent history. Andrew has also served as Chief Ambulatory Officer and has extensive experience in operational and financial management.

Andrew received a bachelor’s degree in management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and has a master's degree in strategic healthcare leadership from the University of Denver. He is a member of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants, the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Ryan Tobin serves as Market President for the Greater Denver Market of CommonSpirit Health, providing strategic and operational leadership, as well as market growth management, for six Colorado hospitals. These include St. Anthony, St. Anthony North, St. Anthony Summit, OrthoColorado, Longmont United and St. Elizabeth.

With more than 16 years of health care leadership experience, Ryan most recently served as CEO and President of Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, the largest hospital within HealthOne. He previously served as CEO and President of Rose Medical Center in Denver, and before that in a leadership role with CommonSpirit, helping to relocate and build St. Anthony and OrthoColorado hospitals on their current campus.

Ryan earned his Bachelor of Science in business administration and his Master of Science in healthcare administration from Trinity University. He then went on to complete his residency at Memorial Hermann in Houston before moving to Denver in 2008. He has served on several boards, including the Denver Scholarship Foundation and Colorado Hospital Association.

Jeremy Bradshaw serves as Market President for the Greater Salt Lake Market of CommonSpirit Health, providing strategic and operational leadership for our five CommonSpirit Holy Cross hospitals in northern Utah, as well as management of market growth in the state.

With more than 20 years of experience in health care leadership, Jeremy previously served as Chief Executive Officer at St. Mark’s Hospital in Utah, and before that, as CEO of MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas. Earlier in his career, he led operations for the transplant center at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Jeremy is known for prioritizing patient safety and improving the patient experience while driving market growth. He led multiple hospitals to achieve Leapfrog “A” grades for patient safety during his tenure.

A Utah native, Jeremy earned his Bachelor of Science in business management from Southern Utah University and his Master of Health Administration from the University of Minnesota. He has been active for many years with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and is a past president and current mentor in the ACHE-Nevada chapter.

As Market President for Greater Colorado and Kansas, Peter provides strategic and operational leadership for nine of our hospitals – Bob Wilson Memorial, Mercy, Penrose, St. Catherine – Dodge City, St. Catherine – Garden City, St. Francis, St. Francis – Interquest, St. Mary-Corwin and St. Thomas More.

Peter previously served CommonSpirit for eight years before returning to our ministry in July 2024. He joined Longmont United Hospital in 2012 as the Director of Strategic Planning & Business Development/Administrative Fellow, he then moved into the VP of Operations role at Longmont before transitioning to COO at St. Anthony Hospital. Peter then served as CEO of St. Anthony Hospital before leaving in 2020 to lead Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida as CEO.

Peter earned his bachelor’s degree in public affairs with a minor in business and sociology from Indiana University. He earned his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Sydney in Sydney, Australia.

Audre serves our Mountain Region as Chief Strategy Officer. She manages strategic growth and development across Colorado, Kansas and Utah, while maintaining a focus on building the CommonSpirit brand, improving access to care, supporting growth and market share, and driving innovation and change.

Prior to joining CommonSpirit, Audre was EVP of Business Development and CSO at UChicago Medicine, where she led the development of the organization’s Vision 2025 strategic plan and expansion into new markets. Audre also served as Vice President of Strategic Planning at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. Before that, she was a consultant and engagement manager at the Chartis Group.

Audre obtained her Bachelor of Arts in history and her Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of Chicago.

Thomas Donohoe serves as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for CommonSpirit. On a mission to help others succeed, Tom is responsible for managing and providing legal services and guidance on a wide range of issues across CommonSpirt's connected system of care. Known for his problem-solving and team-oriented approach, Tom has nearly two decades of experience in health law, primarily representing and working for hospitals and health systems.

He most recently served as Deputy Chief Legal Officer for Intermountain Healthcare where he oversaw and provided legal support to corporate shared services as well as regional business and legal operations teams. Tom joined SCL Health, now Intermountain, in 2018 and served as the lead internal counsel for the merger between the two systems in April 2022. Tom graduated from Indiana University’s Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where he received a concentration and honors in health law, and he earned his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. He is fluent in written and conversational Spanish.

Patrick Gaughan joined CommonSpirit Health in Colorado, Kansas and Utah in November 2018 to support mission integration and formation, community health, pastoral and spiritual care, and ethics. 

Before joining the Mountain Region, Patrick served 12 years as CommonSpirit’s System Vice President for the Center for Formation and Organizational Effectiveness. Prior to joining CommonSpirit, Patrick held leadership roles in mission integration and operations/process improvement with Alexian Brothers Health System in Illinois. In addition, he started his career in health care as a cardiac, vascular and thoracic surgery intensive care nurse at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Ill. 

Patrick has a diploma in nursing from St. Anthony Nursing School in Illinois, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Northern Illinois University, and master’s degrees in health administration and business administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati. He also has six years in missionary formation with the Society of the Divine Word in Iowa.

Oswaldo (Ozzie) A. Grenardo, MD, MBA, MSHA, serves as Chief Medical Officer. He provides overall strategic direction and leadership in clinical excellence, quality and patient safety for the sustained success of the 20 hospitals and 240 clinics across the CommonSpirit Mountain Region. 

Dr. Grenardo most recently served as our Senior Vice President and Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer for CommonSpirit across Colorado, Kansas and Utah. In this role, he inspired this region to become a more diverse, equitable and inclusionary organization. He was instrumental in launching the Health Equity & Advancement Fund in 2021. Previously, Dr. Grenardo served as a family medicine physician in Southeast Aurora for 15 years.

Dr. Grenardo received his bachelor's degree from Stanford University and master's degrees in business administration and health administration and his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Colorado.

Shauna Gulley, MD, serves as Group President for the Physician Enterprise in Colorado, Kansas and Utah for CommonSpirit Health. She is responsible for leading the CommonSpirit Physician Group, driving service line growth, partnering with independent medical groups, and overseeing our clinically integrated network.  

A CommonSpirit leader since 2009, Dr. Gulley most recently served as our Senior Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer, leading clinical enterprise to nationally recognized excellence in clinical quality and patient safety through a culture of high reliability. Dr. Gulley’s experience as a health care leader, along with her role as a practicing pediatrician and internist, is instrumental in catalyzing the innovative change needed to make health care healthier, while engaging, aligning and growing the physician enterprise in the region. 

Dr. Gulley earned her medical doctorate from the University of Arizona College of Medicine where she was designated a Dean’s Scholar, and her MBA from the Isenberg School of Management, UMass Amherst. 

Brenda Simpson, DNP, RN, CENP, is the Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer for CommonSpirit Health. Supporting our nearly 6,500 nurses, Brenda is on a mission to be an advocate for those we serve, including our patients, communities and caregivers. She is responsible for managing and evaluating system-wide clinical policies and the nursing shared governance framework, nursing professional development and the Central Staffing Office. Brenda is committed to enhancing clinical excellence, patient safety and delivering whole person care – mind, body and spirit - across CommonSpirit's care system.

With more than 25 years of progressive leadership experience, Brenda has a passion for leading teams to nursing excellence. She served as System Vice President & Chief Nursing Officer for Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) in Gainesville, Ga. for five years and prior to joining NGHS, she spent nine years as System Senior Vice President & Chief Nursing Officer at CHI St. Vincent Health System in Little Rock, now a part of CommonSpirit Health. Brenda also has held the role of Team Leader as an American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet Appraiser for the past six years.

Brenda earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Tennessee State University in Nashville, a master's in nursing from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of South Alabama in Mobile. She is Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP), a member of the American Organization of Nursing Leadership and the American Nurses Association, and has published extensively on topics related to optimizing nurse leadership practice.
