COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. (July 16, 2026) – CommonSprit St. Francis Hospital – Interquest Hospital is taking compassionate, advanced trauma care to the next level. The hospital recently earned Level IV Trauma Certification, a significant milestone demonstrating its enhanced capabilities in providing trauma care to the Northern Colorado Springs community.

The timing of this designation is also special, because St. Francis Hospital - Interquest (SFI) is celebrating its third anniversary. The Level IV Trauma Certification signifies SFI's commitment to offering immediate assessment, stabilization, and definitive care for trauma patients. This designation recognizes the hospital's dedicated trauma team and comprehensive protocols in place to address serious injuries efficiently and effectively.

For residents in the Interquest area and Monument communities, this elevated certification means expanded access to life-saving care when every second counts.

"Three years ago, we opened St. Francis Hospital – Interquest with a promise to provide exceptional, whole-person care to our growing community," said Pete Powers, Market President, Greater Colorado & Kansas. "Achieving Level IV Trauma Certification and celebrating our third anniversary is a reflection of our entire team. It highlights our commitment to enhancing our services and ensuring that our neighbors have access to a higher level of emergency and trauma care, right here, close to home."

Since its opening, SFI has been a cornerstone of local healthcare, serving patients with its state-of-the-art Emergency Department and General Medical Unit. SFI continues to leverage innovative technology, including smart rooms designed to empower patients and foster a collaborative environment for caregivers.
