CommonSpirit Health's Mountain Region Now Accepting Applications for Community Health Grants

July 14, 2025

CENTENNIAL, CO (July 14, 2025) – CommonSpirit Health's Mountain Region is now accepting applications for its annual Community Health Improvement grants, formerly known as Health Equity & Advancement Fund grants, that will be awarded early next year to local community-based organizations who support the health needs of underserved and underrepresented groups in our communities.

The grant application period opened July 14 and closes Sept. 12. Information can be found on the Health Equity & Advancement Fund page.

"These Community Health Improvement grants are a tangible expression of CommonSpirit Health's commitment to caring for the community," said Sarah Hill, Chief Mission Integration Officer for CommonSpirit's Mountain Region, which serves communities across Colorado, Kansas, and Utah. "They allow us to extend our mission beyond the hospital walls, partnering with local organizations to address the root causes of health disparities and create a healthier future for all, especially our most vulnerable neighbors."

CommonSpirit Health’s Mountain Region anticipates awarding grants totaling more than $1 million to nonprofit organizations in Colorado, Kansas, and Utah, to assist with health equity initiatives in local communities.

Last year, 33 organizations received grants, which supported initiatives such as providing medical respite care for unhoused individuals, supporting women who are survivors of human trafficking, and increasing equitable access to nutrient-rich foods through mobile food banks that offer produce grown by local farmers.
