Mercy Regional Medical Center Named Top Ranking Rural-Community Hospital in U.S.

(DURANGO, COLO.) Centura Health-Mercy Regional Medical Center was named as one of the best Rural-Community Hospitals in the United States of America by eMediHealth, a health and medical web portal.

Mercy was one of only 35 hospitals in the nation and one of only three Colorado hospitals to be named on the list of “Top Rural-Community Hospitals of the USA, 2020”.

To be part of the list, the following key services and metrics were considered: Emergency service, employment in rural areas, nurse care, hospice, rural health clinics, intensive care units, cancer screening, chemotherapy, patient satisfaction, better outcomes, number of experts on staff, and more.
