CommonSpirit St. Thomas More Hospital Reopens Popular Therapy Pool, Bringing Vital Wellness Resource Back to Community

October 15, 2025

CANON CITY, CO – Oct. 14, 2025 – CommonSpirit St. Thomas More Hospital (STM) is excited to announce the highly anticipated reopening of its therapy pool, a beloved resource for the health and wellness of Canon City’s senior community. Following extensive renovations, the pool will officially open on Nov. 3 and is ready to welcome individuals aged 55 and older, offering a pathway to improved mobility, strength, and overall well-being.

The hospital realizes that the temporary closure of the therapy pool for necessary upgrades was difficult and appreciates the community’s patience during the renovations. They are anxious to unveil a refreshed and enhanced facility, reaffirming their commitment to serving the needs of its neighbors.

“We understand how much our therapy pool means to the Canon City community, especially to our senior population who rely on it for their health and wellness,” said Mike Cafasso, President, STM. “We’ve worked to ensure the pool is not only back to its optimal condition but also better equipped to support the therapeutic and fitness goals of our neighbors.”
