About Nancy Taft, MD

Nancy Taft, MD, is a breast surgical oncologist at CommonSpirit Surgical Oncology Longmont and St. Anthony North Cancer Center. Dr. Taft's care philosophy centers on providing compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based care for every patient she treats. She believes the relationship between a patient and their surgeon is built on trust, empathy, and clear communication. Dr. Taft appreciates that breast cancer care extends beyond surgery and works closely with other specialists and disciplines to formulate a plan of care that helps patients navigate their journey so they can live their best lives.

Dr. Taft earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Illinois University. She completed her General Surgery Residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin and her Breast Surgery Fellowship at Northwestern University. Dr. Taft served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 15 years and was honorably discharged at the rank of lieutenant colonel, deploying to Afghanistan twice as a trauma surgeon.

Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Taft enjoys hiking, photography, reading, spending time with family and friends, and learning new things.
