Benjamin Hake, MD, MHS, believes that everyone deserves good, quality healthcare. For Dr. Hake, it’s important that his patients feel welcome, comfortable, and respected. He provides care for patients at all stages of life, from birth to senior years. He can help diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses such as heart disease, hypertension, infections, and arthritis. Dr. Hake can also provide preventive care, including routine exams and health-risk assessments.
Dr. Hake received both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Health Science at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. He then earned his Medical Doctorate at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Cupecoy, Sint Maarten Netherland Antilles. At St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, Dr. Hake completed his Family Medicine Residency while also serving as the Chief Academic Resident.
Dr. Hake loves spending time outdoors with his dog Kona. He also enjoys cooking and trying new dishes, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.
John Weeks, MD, believes that healthcare is an ongoing conversation between a physician and a patient. With listening, sharing, and collaborating the patient's goals can be achieved. Dr. Weeks can provide care for acute illness like infections and minor injuries such as laceration repair. He also can help manage chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension and asthma.
At the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, Dr. Weeks received his undergraduate degree. He then went on to Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and earned his medical degree. Dr. Weeks completed his residency at the University of Colorado Family Medicine and Denver Health.
Dr. Weeks enjoys spending time outdoors bicycling, hiking and camping. He also loves snowboarding in the winter months.
Clark Alves, MD, gives his patients his personal best when it comes to their care. He strives to treat his patients with kindness, dignity, and respect. Dr. Alves is an advocate for preventive care and believes that incorporating healthy lifestyle choices such as diet and exercise can help manage chronic conditions like high blood pressure or diabetes. As a family physician, Dr. Alves treats the whole family for various conditions from ear infections to asthma.
Dr. Alves earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. He then completed his residency training at Abrazo Family Medicine in Phoenix, Arizona. He moved to Colorado to pursue fellowship training in maternal and child health.
In his free time, Dr. Alves competes in triathlons with running, biking and swimming. He also enjoys playing Folk, Bluegrass, and Celtic music on the violin and fiddle.
Caroline Stephens, MD, partners with her patients to set the foundation of a trusting relationship. She educates her patients on the available treatment options so that together they can create a care plan that is unique to their healthcare goals. Dr. Stephens provides care for the whole family from newborn to geriatric and has a special interest in women’s health services.
Dr. Stephens received her undergraduate degree at the University of Denver, graduating magna cum laude. She then earned her Master of Public Health at the University of Texas School of Public Health. From there she attended medical school at the University of Texas Long School of Medicine and completed her residency at Christus Santa Rosa Family Medicine. Dr. Stephens is currently completing her maternal child health fellowship at St. Anthony's North Family Medicine Residency.
When not seeing patients, you can find Dr. Stephens and her husband exploring the outdoors with their furbabies, Rocky and Ellie. They also enjoy traveling to national parks around the country and discovering new places. One of Dr. Stephens favorite ways to relax is reading historical fiction books and trying new recipes with her husband.
Lauren Kim, MD, believes in the power of compassion and being present with people in their healthcare journey. Dr. Kim feels that people are made up of mind, body, and spirit, and by only treating symptoms, the root cause and how all three of those things are interconnected might be missed. Dr. Kim is an advocate for preventive care and believes that it is the best way to add life to her patients’ years. Dr. Kim enjoys all aspects of primary care. She provides routine wellness exams for all ages and can treat acute conditions such as infections and sports injuries. She also can help manage chronic conditions, including high cholesterol, chronic kidney disease, and cirrhosis.
In Claremont, California, Dr. Kim received her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience at Pomona College. She earned her medical degree from Loma Linda University of Medicine and completed her residency at UCLA Family Residency.
Dr. Kim loves to go on adventures and road trips. She enjoys traveling to National Parks, playing volleyball, snowboarding, and camping. She has been learning more about her Korean heritage by learning the language and trying new recipes. Dr. Kim also hopes to learn how to surf and salsa dance.
Stephen Cheung, DO, is devoted to providing comprehensive quality health care for the whole family. He is passionate about treating each patient as an individual and respects their values and goals. At the University of Washington, Dr. Cheung completed his bachelor’s in microbiology and medical technology. He then received his PharmD at the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy. Dr. Cheung earned his medical degree from the Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Colorado and Swedish Family Medicine Residency.
Dr. Cheung enjoys the outdoors, cycling, hiking, and running. However, his favorite thing to do is spend time with his family.
