Stephen DeTurk, MD

Dr. Stephen DeTurk, MD, serves patients at CommonSpirit Primary Care St. Thomas More with a focus on building lifelong relationships. As a family medicine physician, he approaches medicine by building these relationships on mutual respect, active listening, and open communication. He believes in treating the whole person, focusing on lifestyle medicine to help you stay healthy, while providing compassionate, personalized, evidence-based care for acute illness and chronic conditions. His goal is to listen closely, answer your questions, and empower you to feel confident and in control of your health journey.

Dr. DeTurk earned his Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medicine with a minor in chemistry from Pennsylvania State University before receiving his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. He went on to complete his residency in family medicine at the St. Luke’s University Health Network - Warren Campus.

Outside of the office, Dr. DeTurk keeps a balanced and active life. He values his time spent with his kids, whether they are playing board games together or exploring the outdoors. He is also an avid fan of visiting national parks and finding new places to explore.
