About Michael Andersen, DPM
Dr. Andersen earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University Idaho and graduated from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Miami Florida. He completed a three year residency at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City where he trained in both forefoot and rearfoot and ankle reconstruction. He has extensive training in wound and diabetic foot care.
Dr. Andersen is certified in Podiatric Medicine by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
In 2015, Dr. Andersen moved to Garden City with his wife, Brittany (Steel) a Garden city native. They have 4 children. In his spare time, he loves traveling with his family, being outdoors, cooking and fly fishing.
Dr. Andersen currently has a clinic in the Siena Medical building and is treating wounds in the wound care center at St. Catherine Hospital.
He speaks Portuguese and basic Spanish.
