About Kimberly Weir, NP, DNP

Kim Weir, DNP-BC, specializes in general surgery and breast cancer. She is a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner with her doctorate from the University of Utah. She previously practiced as a hospitalist within the scope of internal medicine before transitioning to general surgery. She has worked in healthcare for 20 years, including roles in the emergency room, intensive care unit, medical and surgical floors, internal medicine, and surgery.
 
Kim believes in a comprehensive approach to address each person as an individual with different needs. She promotes shared decision making and multidisciplinary care to promote the entirety of wellness. She enjoys connecting with each patient while providing thorough education to help them understand their diagnosis and what the next steps are to maximize quality of life and survivorship. Kim leads the high-risk breast cancer clinic and breast cancer survivorship program.

Outside of work, Kim enjoys the desert heat with activities including gardening, working on new projects, and most any recreational sport. She likes to take advantage of her free time by camping and exploring new places with her family.
