About Joshua Shapiro, MD
Dr. Joshua Shapiro, MD, has always loved the outdoors and appreciates his patients’ desire to return to their active lifestyles. He works together with his patients and always maximizes non-surgical treatment before discussing surgical options. His favorite days in the office are when he sees patients that he has treated that are smiling and pain free.
Dr. Shapiro specializes in total and partial knee replacements, total hip replacements utilizing a minimally invasive direct anterior approach, as well as complex revisions of hip and knee replacements.
Dr. Shapiro attended Vanderbilt University for his undergraduate degree and returned to his home state for medical school at the University of Colorado. He went on to complete his residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After residency, Dr. Shapiro completed a fellowship in Adult Hip & Knee Reconstruction at the renowned Anderson Orthopaedic Research Institute. During fellowship he trained under leading experts in complex hip and knee replacement and revision surgery.
Outside of the office, Dr. Shapiro loves spending time with his wife and two kids hiking, biking, skiing, golfing, and anything else that Colorado has to offer.
