Jamie Shatz, PA-C

Jamie Shatz, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant specializing in cardiac surgery at CommonSpirit St. Anthony Hospital. Jamie's philosophy centers on providing thoughtful, evidence-based care with efficiency and clear communication. She strives to balance high-level surgical precision with a calm and supportive approach, recognizing the vulnerable state patients are in during cardiac surgery.

Jamie's education began with her undergraduate studies at UAB, followed by a Master's in Physician Assistant studies from Emory University School of Medicine. To further refine her expertise in surgical care, she completed a Surgical APP fellowship at CU Anschutz, ensuring she brings advanced skills and knowledge to every procedure.

Outside of work, Jamie finds joy and rejuvenation in the outdoors. She loves anything and everything outside, including hiking, camping, and backcountry skiing. Her creative outlets include photography and art, and she also enjoys live music and cooking.
