About Ganesh Venkataraman, MD
Dr. Venkataraman, is a board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist, with expertise in the treatment of patients with cardiac arrhythmias. Dr. Venkataraman worked as a cardiac electrophysiologist in the Washington, DC area for nearly 10 years, where he served as the Director of the WATCHMAN left atrial appendage closure program and was the only electrophysiologist performing epicardial access and mapping of ventricular arrhythmias in the Northern Virginia area. Dr. Venkataraman has also participated in and served as a principal investigator in numerous clinical trials and has published extensively in the field of cardiac electrophysiology, including the safety of WATCHMAN LAA closure in patients with a small LAA appendage.---Dr. Venkataraman earned his medical degree in 2001 at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He completed his cardiology fellowship in 2007 at the Georgetown University Hospital / Washington Hospital Center program in Washington, D.C. He completed his cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC. Dr. Venkataraman is married, has two boys and is very excited that he and his family have moved to Colorado to be closer to his wife's family. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling, running and spending time with his family and friends.
