About David Evans, MD

Dr. David Evans, MD, is an Orthopedic Surgeon at CommonSpirit Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Jordan Valley, West Valley, and Cottonwood Heights. He focuses on individualized care tailored to patient needs, utilizing specialized techniques including robotic surgery and approaching every patient on a case-by-case basis. Dr. Evans also prioritizes establishing fundamental relationships with his patients and encourages long-term follow-up to maintain proper care.

Dr. Evans grew up in the Salt Lake Valley. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rice University in Texas, then completed medical school at Baylor College of Medicine and was inducted into AOA. He completed his orthopedic training at the Harvard Combined Residency Program in Boston, followed by an Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in Florida, where he further honed his joint replacement skills and expanded his expertise to include robotics. During his training, Dr. Evans also spent time at Oxford University in the United Kingdom, broadening his exposure to alternative surgical techniques used in Europe.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Evans enjoys playing tennis, pickleball, hiking, biking, and spending time with family and friends.
