About Christopher DiMarcella, LPC
Christopher DiMarcella, LPC, is a behavioral health specialist at CommonSpirit Internal Medicine & Pediatrics Parker. He is dedicated to fostering a safe and grounded environment where patients feel genuinely heard, valued, and supported from their very first interaction. His care philosophy is built on a collaborative and curious approach, aimed at guiding individuals to build understanding, develop practical skills for managing challenges, and ultimately move towards greater clarity and hope. Consistency and transparency are hallmarks of his practice, ensuring patients can trust the therapeutic process and feel empowered in taking an active role in their own care.
Christopher's educational journey began at the University of Northern Colorado, where he earned his B.A. in Psychology. He furthered his expertise by completing an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Colorado at Denver. His post-graduate clinical training is extensive, covering integrated behavioral health, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and brief solution-focused therapy. He also has specialized training in Motivational Interviewing, SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment), Mental Health First Aid, QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) for suicide prevention, and primary-care behavioral health practices.
Outside of his practice, Christopher enjoys attending Denver Nuggets games and watching just about any sporting event. In the summer months, he finds great joy in being outdoors, whether it's cooking, relishing the warm weather, or venturing out to explore new places and sample new foods. He describes himself as a blend of homebody and explorer, loving to travel when the opportunity arises, but finding ultimate contentment in returning home to cook and relax with his family, especially while watching their favorite shows.
