About Bethany Mensink, DO
Dr. Mensink is a board-certified general surgeon who believes in treating patients with compassion and respect as if they were her own family. Understanding that surgery can be mysterious and scary, she strives to make patients feel comfortable, knowledgeable, and empowered.
Dr. Mensink performs all aspects of general and acute care surgery with a particular interest in colorectal and complex hernia surgeries. She trained extensively in minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgery, which results in faster recovery times, decreased pain, and better outcomes. She also offers screening and diagnostic upper and lower endoscopy such as EGDs and colonoscopies.
Dr. Mensink received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Roanoke College in Virginia, and her medical degree from the West Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency at Beaumont Hospital, a busy level II trauma center in Detroit, Michigan. Prior to moving to Colorado, Dr. Mensink practiced in Louisiana, where she was one of the leading robotic surgeons. Although she loved the food, she needed to escape the humidity.
In her free time, Dr. Mensink enjoys exploring the outdoors with her two rescue dogs, trying new foods, and working on home improvement projects.
