About Ashley Fry, NP

Ashley Fry, APN, ACHPN, is a board-certified advanced practice nurse specializing in Palliative Care at Penrose Hospital. Her approach to palliative care is grounded in a deep respect for each person's values, goals, and lived experience. She strives to support patients and families as they navigate complex medical decisions, advocating for care that aligns with each individual's goals. Ashley provides targeted interventions to alleviate symptoms, always with the aim of enhancing comfort and quality of life.

Ashley earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Health Policy from George Washington University, and a Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Illinois University. Ashley is an Advanced Certified Hospice & Palliative Nurse, certified in 2020.

Outside of her clinical practice, Ashley enjoys participating in health care policy reform efforts, advocating on behalf of patients and healthcare professionals. She is passionate about mentoring and providing education to support the growth of the next generation of nurses. In her free time, she finds joy in working in her garden and restoring her Victorian home through trial and error.
