Alexis Skelton, DO

Dr. Alexis Skelton, DO, is a Family Medicine physician at CommonSpirit Primary Care St. Thomas More who is passionate about providing simplified, whole-person care that encompasses the mind, body, and spirit. Her commitment extends to offering continuous care for families, spanning from the very first heartbeat in the womb all the way through end-of-life planning and support. Dr. Skelton considers it a profound honor to care for patients through every life stage, from prenatal visits, to delivery, to well-child and adult visits, and through the diagnosis and management of chronic conditions, cherishing the opportunity to witness families grow and thrive.

Dr. Skelton earned both a BA in Biology and a BS in Spanish from the University of Southern Indiana. Her medical journey continued with a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Marian University. She then completed a Full-Scope Family Medicine Residency at Southern Colorado Family Medicine Residency in Pueblo. Dr. Skelton pursued specialized training with a Women’s Health Fellowship focusing on Surgical Obstetrics at AdventHealth Orlando, and also received specific training in addressing substance use during pregnancy.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Skelton loves hiking with her beloved pets and is a fan of all things Disney. Reading and attending theater productions also bring her joy, but most importantly, she cherishes spending quality time with her family and friends.
