Alex Kesler, MD

Dr. Alex Kesler, MD, specializes in gastroenterology and hepatology at CommonSpirit Gastroenterology St. Anthony North. He approaches his practice with a comprehensive, patient-centered philosophy. He is dedicated to treating patients with compassion and empathy, providing care that is not only holistic but also grounded in the latest evidence-based guidelines. Dr. Kesler values the strong patient-doctor relationships he builds, believing these connections are fundamental to delivering exceptional care.

Dr. Kesler's extensive education began with an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alabama. He then pursued his medical career, attending medical school at the University of South Alabama. Following medical school, he completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, Florida, before specializing further with a Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship at Indiana University.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Kesler cherishes spending time with his wife, Katie, as well as family and friends. He is a passionate attendee of live music events and enjoys a variety of outdoor activities such as running, hiking, and fishing. He is also an avid sports fan, following his favorite teams - the University of Alabama, the Carolina Panthers, and the Charlotte Hornets.
