Patient Transfers / Physician Consultations
The Mountain Region Transfer Center facilitates more than 17,000 transfers (ED to ED, Direct Admits, Inpatient Transfers and Scheduled Admissions) in addition to 12,500 specialty consults per year. We are a simple solution for referring physicians and providers, directly connecting them with Transfer Coordinators to facilitate emergent and non-emergent patients transfers. The Transfer Center will also assist with these things:
- Managing logistics for a smooth patient transfer which may include Critical Care Transportation by Flight For Life Colorado via air or ground
- Assuring prompt follow-up communication to your facility
- Coordinating hospital bed assignment with the Bed Placement Team
- Linking referring physicians at supported facilities with tele-neurology consults
