About James Sbarbaro, MD

Dr. Sbarbaro joined Dr. Ulrich and CSHP's Ophthalmology team in August 2016 at 1625 Medical Center Point. Dr. Sbarbaro specializes in cataract, refractive (LASIK), and corneal surgery. He has specialized training and experience in refractive cataract surgery, where he routinely implants the latest technology intraocular lenses that can reduce or eliminate the need for glasses after surgery. "Technology has come so far as it relates to cataract surgery," states Dr. Sbarbaro. "New intraocular implants are being introduced each year that allows me to offer a broad range of options for my patients.' He also performs customized lasik procedures for the treatment of myopia (nearsightedness) and hyperopia (farsightedness) utilizing only the most advanced and most recent generation of lasik technology. In addition, he treats diseases of corneal clouding such as Fuchs and Keratoconus, utilizing modern lamellar as well as traditional full thickness corneal transplantation surgery. Dr. Sbarbaro also treats a wide variety of common eye conditions such as glaucoma, dry eyes, and diabetic eye disease. Dr. Sbarbaro's career is quite demanding of his time; however he enjoys spending his free time with his wife and daughter. He enjoys cycling, snow skiing, and working with computers.
