About Lawrence Lazar, MD

Dr. Lazar graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University and with the highest honors from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical School. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of California San Francisco, followed by his Cardiology Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic and an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at UCLA. Following his training, Dr. Lazar was a Clinical Instructor of Medicine on the UCLA faculty.
Dr. Lazar has performed medical research in preventative and interventional cardiology, as well as in the fields of cancer prevention, neuroscience and geriatrics. He has authored reviews on cardiac pharmacology and coronary intervention and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Interventional Cardiology, and Echocardiography.
Dr. Lazar moved to Denver and joined Colorado Heart and Vascular in 2013. He enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling and cooking.
