About Melissa Rahrig, NP
Melissa Rahrig, AOCNP, CBCN, is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in Breast Surgical Oncology at St. Anthony North Hospital Breast Care Center. She believes in open communication between the patient and herself. Melissa aims to make patients feel comfortable asking any questions they may have. She is straightforward with information and results, blending realism and compassion in her approach.
Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of California - San Diego, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University - San Marcos. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of California - Los Angeles.
Outside of her practice, Melissa loves cooking with her husband, working out 3-4 times a week, and playing with her German Shepherd and two kittens. She loves to read and journal and is passionate about continuing to learn new things, primarily by self-teaching. A few of the things she is currently learning on her own include (re-learning) Japanese, crocheting, and playing the guzheng (Chinese zither).
