About Anessa Welford, RD

Anessa Welford, RDN works as a bariatric dietitian and treats obesity and other chronic health conditions through helping patients make dietary and other lifestyle changes. With a nonjudgemental and supportive nature, she can help you sift through all of the confusing nutrition advice on the internet and find sustainable changes that will work for you.

Anessa received her Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition and later her Master of Science in Nutrition and Integrative Health from Stephen F. Austin State University. A unique focus on integrative and functional nutrition in an area with high poverty rates sparked a passion in Anessa to help people improve their health with food and nutrition in an accessible way.

Anessa's other passions include reading, anything involving her family, and outdoor activities like camping, hiking, paddleboarding, and snowboarding. Anessa hiked Longs Peak as her first 14er in 2024.
