About Thomas Dowd, MD

Thomas Dowd, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery at CommonSpirit Orthopedics Audubon. He is passionate about alleviating patient pain and optimizing function, bringing over 20 years of experience in the U.S. Army to his practice. Dr. Dowd has a proven track record of successfully managing complex foot and ankle reconstruction cases, and he is dedicated to helping his patients achieve their individual goals.

Dr. Dowd's distinguished career includes graduation from the United States Military Academy at West Point, the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and completion of his orthopedic surgery residency at Brooke Army Medical Center. He did a fellowship in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery at Harvard, and he is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Dowd enjoys spending time with his wife and kids.
