About Kamal Lazar, DO

Dr. Kamal Lazar, DO, is a family medicine physician practicing at CommonSpirit Rocky Mountain Sports & Family Medicine Pueblo. He embraces a patient-centered, holistic approach to care, combining evidence-based medicine with the tangible benefits of osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT). Dr. Lazar is particularly passionate about supporting his patients' mental health and overall well-being, striving to address all facets of their health.

Dr. Lazar earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Western Oregon University. He then completed his medical school training at Western University of Health Sciences - COMP NW, before undertaking his comprehensive residency training at Southern Colorado Family Medicine.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Lazar enjoys spending quality time with his wife and their lively household of two dogs and two cats. His creative interests include playing and listening to music, as well as photography. He also finds relaxation in traveling and exploring new video games. Fluent in English, Tamil, and Sinhala, Dr. Lazar values and is adept at connecting with people from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
