Tiffany Nelson, PA-C

Tiffany Nelson, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant who specializes in neonatology at St. Francis Hospital’s NICU. Tiffany's care philosophy is rooted in kindness, compassion, trust, and respect. She is committed to delivering evidence-based, high-quality care to our most vulnerable patients while supporting families with empathy and clear communication. She strives to build trust with coworkers and families through consistency, clinical excellence, and transparency.

Tiffany began her career in the NICU in North Carolina after earning her Master of Medical Sciences from the Wake Forest University Physician Assistant Program. In 2007, she relocated to Colorado to be closer to family and joined the Level III NICU at Penrose-St. Francis Health Services. She stepped into the role of Advanced Practice Provider NICU Lead in 2019 and has served as the Small Baby Team Lead for seven years. In early 2026, she launched a NICU Parent Follow-Up Committee to strengthen continuity of care and support for families beyond discharge.

Outside of the NICU, Tiffany cherishes time with family and friends. She stays active snowboarding and hiking in Colorado's beautiful outdoors. She also enjoys cooking, baking, and doing puzzles.
