About Varun Chopra, DPM

Varun Chopra, DPM, is a proud Colorado native who specializes in treating bunions with minimally invasive techniques, tendon and ligament injuries, arthroscopic surgery, trauma of the foot and ankle, arthritic conditions, and forefoot/rearfoot reconstruction.

For almost 10 years he has perfected his skills performing cutting-edge surgical procedures. Dr. Chopra also understands the value in exploring all conservative care options before recommending surgery for his patients. Over the last several years he has been one of the leaders in the state utilizing Shockwave therapy, treating collegiate and professional athletes.

Dr. Chopra completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado, Denver. He then studied Nuclear Medicine at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Wanting to establish a career imbedded in sports medicine, Dr. Chopra pursued podiatric medicine and received his Doctorate from the California School of Podiatric Medicine, where he made the Dean’s list and was a member of Phi Delta National Honor Society. Following graduation, Dr. Chopra returned to Colorado after being accepted into one of the most competitive podiatric surgical residencies in the country at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital.

Dr. Chopra is passionate about sports and can talk all day about local sports teams. In his spare time, he enjoys an active lifestyle playing basketball, golfing, and traveling with his family.
