About
The Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit at Holy Cross West Valley provides hospitalization for adults 18 and older with severe behavioral health conditions that cannot be safely managed on an outpatient basis. The goal of our care is to reduce psychiatric symptoms and maximize each person’s functioning and quality of life.
Our Services
We provide inpatient psychiatric care to adults in a safe, highly structured environment. We see patients with a variety of clinical presentations, including suicidal thoughts, depression, psychosis, and co-occurring disorders.
Our Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit has as many as 20 beds and provides 24/7 care for adults experiencing acute mental health crises. Patients receive intensive therapy, medication management, and structured support in a safe and supervised environment aimed at stabilizing their condition and developing coping mechanisms before transitioning to lower levels of care.
Patients can be admitted to the unit voluntarily or involuntarily. Assessments for inpatient admission can be done through our Assessment Center, an Emergency Department, or while in a medical inpatient unit.
Our psychiatric assessment team provides 24/7 emergent evaluation, assessment, crisis intervention and triage for patients presenting with psychiatric-related emergencies in our five Holy Cross hospitals and Emergency Departments across the Wasatch Front.
