Arrhythmia treatment

Cardiology

Arrhythmia treatment

We provide a variety of treatments for irregular heartbeats, including implantation and management of pacemakers, Holter and event monitor services, and Afib ablation, a minimally invasive treatment option that relies on radio frequencies to correct atrial fibrillation.

Cardiac catheterization

Cardiology

Cardiac catheterization

Cardiac catheterization helps doctors evaluate how well the heart is functioning and whether there are blockages in the arteries. Since cardiac catheterization is a minimally invasive procedure, most patients feel better within hours and some can go home the same day.

Heart screenings

Cardiology

Heart screenings

The sooner heart problems are treated the faster your recovery is for a healthier future. This 10-minute screening looks at your heart to help detect heart disease long before symptoms occur. Using a non-invasive CT scanner, doctors can see the tiniest plaque buildup that may be an indication of early heart disease.

To schedule a heart screening, call 801-807-7120.

Peripheral artery disease (PAD)

Cardiology

Peripheral artery disease (PAD)

Many individuals are not aware of PAD, affects 1 in 20 Americans over the age of 50, or the disease’s link to heart attack and stroke. Characterized by arterial blockages in the legs, PAD symptoms are often mistaken as joint pain, poor circulation and a normal sign of aging.

We offer a painless, non-invasive annual ABI test to screen for PAD for individuals who are over the age of 70 or over the age of 50 and have a history of diabetes and/or smoking. For those under age of 50, an ABI test is recommended for those with the following risk factors:

  • Diabetes
  • Smoking
  • Hypertension
  • High cholesterol
  • Achiness in the legs
  • Fatigue
  • Painful cramping in the legs
  • Burning sensation in the legs
  • Sedentary lifestyle
  • Personal or family history of heart or vascular disease
  • Black or Hispanic ethnicity
