CommonSpirit Health, a leading advocate for healthy communities and social justice, will distribute nearly $1.5 million in Community Health Improvement Grants across its Mountain Region. These vital funds will empower 54 community-based organizations in Colorado, Kansas, and Utah, enabling them to address pressing health challenges and support vulnerable populations in 2026.
The grants underscore CommonSpirit Health's mission to improve the health of the people it serves, fostering thriving communities where everyone has the opportunity to achieve their highest level of well-being.

- Rise Against Suicide (Lafayette, CO): Received a $38,500 grant to provide essential services, reflecting CommonSpirit's commitment to mental health and safety.
- Growing Gardens of Boulder County (Boulder, CO): Awarded $15,000 for their project "Increasing Fresh Produce Access for Latino Families in Longmont," tackling food insecurity and promoting nutrition.
- Axis Health System (Durango, CO): Received $36,000 to enhance Crisis Intervention Services, bolstering mental health support in the crucial moments of need.
- Centro de la Familia (Colorado Springs, CO): Awarded $25,000 to support staffing for mental health services, ensuring culturally competent care for families.
- Catholic Charities of Southwest Kansas (Dodge City, KS): Awarded $15,000 for their Pregnancy Support Program, offering vital assistance and resources to expectant parents.
- Doctors Care (Littleton, CO): Received $40,000 for "Enhancing Behavioral Health Through Community Health Workers," promoting integrated care and community outreach.
- Navajostrong (Lehi, UT): Awarded $11,000 for their foundational work, demonstrating support for diverse community needs.
These grants will help fund initiatives ranging from mental health services, food security, and support for vulnerable families to care for the homeless and veteran services.
