Extending humankindness in every community.
Our commitment to building healthy communities is based on a simple belief — we have the duty and privilege to care for others. This engrained value pushes us to truly understand each community’s needs and work tirelessly to fulfill those that are unmet. By focusing on what’s needed most, we’re proud to help our communities pursue their unique path to health and wholeness.
Community engagement
We strive to make every CommonSpirit care site a versatile, reliable resource for the community they support. At the core of our impact work lies a deep commitment to advancing social justice and health equity across our care system. That’s why we sponsor, partner, and support local community-building initiatives, local advocacy groups and health care partners to deliver more inclusive, accessible and affordable care, so that, together, we can flourish.
Foundations
As a not-for-profit, faith-based organization we're driven to reinvest our resources in the communities we serve. This reinvestment is made possible by our incredible foundations and allows us to deliver specialized services and compassionate care to those who need it, regardless of their ability to pay.

Community Benefit
Community Benefit reflects our commitment to improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve. Through our Community Health Needs Assessments, Community Health Implementation Strategies, and investments in programs and services, we work to address our communities’ priority health needs and support underserved and vulnerable populations in building healthier communities for all.
Community Health Improvement Grant
Our Community Health Improvement Grant program invests in local nonprofit organizations working to improve health and well-being across our communities. Recognizing that many factors influencing health occur outside of hospitals and clinics, the program supports initiatives that address access to care, mental health, substance use, social drivers of health, and other community priorities that advance health equity.
