CommonSpirit Health Appoints Nathanael Budge as President of Holy Cross Hospitals - Jordan Valley and West Valley

SALT LAKE CITY, UT (July 15, 2026) – CommonSpirit Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Nathanael Budge as President of Holy Cross Hospital – Jordan Valley and Holy Cross Hospital – West Valley, effective July 19, 2026. In this pivotal role, Budge will oversee the strategic direction, operations, and continued growth of both facilities.

Budge, who most recently served as CommonSpirit Health’s Utah Market Vice President of Strategy and Growth, has also been acting as interim president of Holy Cross Hospital – West Valley since March. His extensive experience and proven leadership will be instrumental in advancing CommonSpirit Health's mission in the Utah market.

In his previous role as Utah Market Vice President of Strategy and Growth, Budge played a key role in developing comprehensive strategic plans for the Utah market, collaborating closely with market leadership, service line leaders, and the physician enterprise. He also spearheaded and led the market Growth Council and was foundational in developing future plans for ambulatory expansion, including surgery centers, outpatient imaging, and free-standing emergency departments throughout Utah.

During his brief tenure as interim president of Holy Cross Hospital – West Valley, Budge has worked with the leadership team to recruit new surgeons, enhance patient experience and quality measures, and fortify relationships within the community.

Budge's career with CommonSpirit Health and its legacy organizations includes serving as administrator of Holy Cross Hospital – West Valley for four years, and prior to that, as Chief Operating Officer for both Holy Cross Hospital – West Valley and Holy Cross Hospital – Jordan Valley for three years.

He holds a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and a bachelor’s degree in economics and business management from Brigham Young University. Budge is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Chamber West. He resides in West Jordan with his wife and children.
