Dean Holman was the foundational Administrator (later CEO) of Davis Hospital and Medical Center, serving from February 1976 until December 1990. He was instrumental in overseeing the hospital's completion and opening. Dedicated to excellence, Holman was active in local, state, and national health associations, including the Utah Hospital Association. He was a multi-year recipient of the Humana Club Award, recognizing outstanding performance in budget and patient satisfaction. He is remembered for his significant contributions in building and establishing the hospital's integrity.
Floyd Morgan served as the Chief Executive Officer of Davis Hospital and Medical Center from 1990 to 1996, succeeding Dean Holman. He previously was the hospital’s Chief Financial Officer. Under his leadership, the hospital experienced continued growth and expansion across various departments, including the addition of a skilled nursing unit. In 1996, he was promoted to Regional Vice President upon the hospital's divestment from Columbia HealthCare Corporation to Paracelsus HealthCare Corporation.
Robert C. Cash joined Davis Hospital and Medical Center as its Chief Executive Officer in May 1996, following the hospital's transition to Paracelsus HealthCare Corporation. His tenure was brief but significant during a period of ownership changes. He left his position in September 1997, leading to an extensive search for his successor.
Bruce A. Baldwin assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer in March 1998, transferring from another Paracelsus facility, Dakota Heartland Hospital. During his leadership, the Talbert Building was constructed on campus, providing additional office space and housing the Physical Therapy Department with a new aquatic therapy pool. Baldwin departed the hospital in 2001 to relocate to the Palms of Pasadena Hospital in Florida, leading to another executive search.
Michael E. Jensen became the fifth Chief Executive Officer of Davis Hospital and Medical Center in December 2001, beginning a long and impactful tenure. Under his leadership, the hospital celebrated its 25th anniversary and underwent a significant $23.5 million expansion project completed in 2003, enhancing various departments and increasing bed capacity. He also received the "Health Care Heroes" award in 2011 and oversaw the acquisition of the Davis Surgical Center. His leadership saw the opening of the Robert F. Bitner Medical Office Building, a new Cancer Treatment Center, and the South Tower expansion, significantly growing the hospital's capabilities and community involvement until his departure in January 2024.
