About Ronald Catanese, MD
Ronald P. Catanese, MD, treats his patients like a member of his own family. His care philosophy is to provide quality urological care in a patient friendly setting. He understands that many urological conditions are accompanied by discomfort or embarrassment and he emphasizes sensitivity and discretion with all patient concerns. He is dedicated to serving the urological needs of the communities in southwest Kansas.
Dr. Catanese obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. He completed his residency in General Surgery and his Urology Residency at Strong Memorial Hospital at the University of Rochester in Rochester, N.Y. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urological Association.
Dr. Catanese treats a variety of urological conditions including BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia), urinary infections, sexual dysfunction, hormone replacement therapy - treating male sexual dysfunction and female hormone replacement therapy as a means of preventing chronic urinary infections, male and female incontinence, pediatric urology, urinary stones, erectile dysfunction, prostate biopsy, plus cancers of the prostate, kidney, bladder, and adrenal. Some of the office procedures performed include ureteroscopy, bladder scans, urethral dilation. A full line of inpatient urological procedures are performed at St. Catherine Hospital.
When he isn’t in clinic, Dr. Catanese enjoys spending time with his family, traveling with his wife, Beverly, reading, remodeling, and crossword puzzles.
